Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license
• 2 years of experience in oncology nursing and/or ambulatory clinic care
• Experience with phone triage, patient communication, and outpatient clinic workflow
• ONS certification required
• BLS certification required
• Chemo/ONS-ONCC certification preferred or required per unit standards
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
• Ability to float within scope as needed
• Comfort working with adult oncology patients in a clinic setting

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to oncology patients during follow-up, pre-op, post-op, and treatment-related visits
• Perform telephone triage and manage in-basket communication in Epic
• Assist providers during clinic visits and support efficient patient flow
• Coordinate care for new and return patient appointments
• Deliver patient education and reinforce treatment plans and symptom management guidance
• Recognize and communicate abnormal findings, symptoms, and patient concerns promptly
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to support high-quality ambulatory oncology care
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record
