Schedule: 4:00 AM start
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Employment Solutions is hiring an experienced Non-CDL Box Truck Driver for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Old Lyme, CT. This position involves multi-stop delivery routes.
Responsibilities:
- Drive a non-CDL box truck on multi-stop delivery routes
- Load, secure, transport, and unload products safely
- Operate a pallet jack to move product
- Follow assigned delivery routes and schedules
- Complete delivery paperwork, manifests, and other required documentation
- Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Provide professional customer service at delivery locations
- Follow all company, state, and federal safety requirements
- Maintain excellent attendance and reliability
Requirements:
- Previous delivery or box truck driving experience
- Pallet jack experience required
- Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CDL is preferred but not required
- Must be willing and able to complete required OSHA/Hazmat training
