Part-Time Packaging Machine Helper

Our client is growing like crazy, and we are hiring new folks for our team! We're currently seeking Part-Time Multivac Helpers for a fast-paced meat processing facility in Opelika, AL. This role supports machine operators with the setup, monitoring, and breakdown of Multivac and Formax packaging equipment. Ideal candidates are mechanically curious, dependable, and comfortable working in a cold production environment.

Pay Rate: $14.00/hr (1st Shift) | $15.00/hr (2nd Shift)

• 1st Shift A | 6:30 AM – 10:45 AM | $14.00/hr
• 1st Shift B | 10:30 AM – 2:30 PM | $14.00/hr
• 2nd Shift A | 2:30 PM – 6:45 PM | $15.00/hr
• 2nd Shift B | 7:00 PM – 11:30 PM | $15.00/hr

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist machine operators with setup, monitoring, and breakdown of Multivac and Formax packaging equipment.
• Support packaging line operations and ensure smooth equipment transitions between runs.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and all safety procedures.
• Wear required PPE — rubber gloves, plastic apron/sleeves, bump hat, eye and ear protection.
• Stand and walk for the full shift in temperatures of 35–45°F (occasionally below 10°F).
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort working around production equipment a plus.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Must be at least the age of 18 years old.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
• Must pass background check and drug test.
