Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nursing Contract in Easley, SC

Travel RN Job Details

• Location: Easley, South Carolina
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,710–$1,800
• Start Date: November 16, 2026
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks, ending February 15, 2027
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12-hour night shifts
• Shift Hours: 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend; schedule may vary based on unit needs
• Patient Population: Adult patients
• Typical Patient Ratio: 5 patients
• Unit: Surgical specialty medical-surgical telemetry unit
• Documentation System: EPIC
• Medication System: Omnicell
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Floating: Required to other qualified units or facilities as needed

Med/Surg Tele RN Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina
• At least 1 year of recent medical-surgical telemetry nursing experience
• At least 1 year of EPIC experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Experience caring for adult medical-surgical and cardiac telemetry patients
• Demonstrated knowledge of cardiac telemetry, remote patient monitoring, and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Experience with blood product administration, surgical drains, and post-operative care preferred
• Ability to float to qualified units and campuses and perform only tasks supported by documented competencies
• Required seasonal influenza vaccination in accordance with assignment policy

Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to adult medical-surgical telemetry patients during night shifts
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize changes in patient condition, and initiate appropriate interventions
• Manage patients with conditions such as cerebrovascular accidents, cardiac concerns, and post-surgical needs
• Administer medications and blood products safely and accurately
• Assess and care for surgical drains and other clinically indicated therapies
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately in EPIC
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, rehabilitation services, rapid response teams, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
• Provide clear patient and family education and support continuity of care during handoff
• Float to other qualified units or facilities when requested based on patient census and operational needs
