Registered Nurse Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020–$2,130
• Location: Pennington, New Jersey
• Nursing Setting: Emergency Department Holds / Medical-Surgical Float Pool
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Weekend and Holiday Requirement: Every other weekend and every other holiday
• Start Date: November 17, 2026
• Assignment Length: 8 weeks
• Work Arrangement: On-site; floating between designated nearby campuses is required
• Electronic Medical Record: Cerner
• Uniform: Navy blue scrubs

Emergency Department RN Job Requirements

• Active RN license in New Jersey or a valid Compact RN license at the time of submission
• At least 2 years of recent medical-surgical or telemetry nursing experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications
• Recent experience caring for patients in an emergency department, ED Holds, or comparable acute care setting preferred
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend, and every other holiday
• Willingness to float between designated clinical campuses as needed
• Required influenza vaccination; declinations are not accepted
• Strong patient assessment, communication, organization, and clinical prioritization skills

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide safe, efficient, and compassionate nursing care to patients in the ED Holds and medical-surgical float pool environment
• Complete comprehensive patient assessments, monitor clinical conditions, and promptly communicate changes to the care team
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established orders, policies, and patient safety standards
• Coordinate care with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare team members
• Support patient throughput, transitions of care, and discharge readiness when appropriate
• Float between designated nearby campuses while maintaining consistent standards of acute care nursing
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, outcomes, and patient education in Cerner
• Promote infection prevention, fall prevention, patient safety, and a positive patient experience
