Travel Surgical Technologist Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,630–$1,750
• Location: Saint Johns, FL
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: December 7, 2026
• End Date: March 6, 2027
• Schedule: Approximately 36 hours per week; variable Monday–Friday schedule
• Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts, approximately 6:45 a.m.–7:15 p.m.
• Call: Required, including weekends
• Orientation: December 7 and December 14, 2026
• Dress Code: Hospital-laundered scrubs provided
• Parking: Free parking available

Surgical Technologist Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience as a Surgical Technologist or Surgical Tech
• Minimum 2 years of experience scrubbing complex GI and Endoscopy cases
• Extensive complex GI experience; candidates should be prepared to describe the types of cases performed
• Demonstrated experience with endoscope reprocessing using automatic high-level disinfection processes, including Olympus OER systems
• Graduation from an accredited surgical technologist program
• High school diploma or GED
• Current Surgical Technologist certification
• Current BLS certification
• NIH Stroke Scale certification
• Travel assignment eligibility; local candidates within the applicable radius may not be eligible

Surgical Technologist Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons and proceduralists by preparing and providing instruments for procedures in the Operating Room and Endoscopy Suite
• Scrub complex GI and Endoscopy cases while maintaining strict sterile technique
• Anticipate procedural needs and support efficient, safe surgical workflows
• Perform the care, handling, cleaning, and maintenance of surgical and endoscopic equipment
• Complete endoscope reprocessing using automatic high-level disinfection procedures and Olympus OER equipment
• Maintain accurate equipment and procedure-related practices in accordance with department standards
• Participate in assigned call coverage, including weekends
