• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,110–$2,220

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.
• Shifts: Approximately 3 shifts per week, totaling 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Three weekend shifts plus one Friday and one Monday during each four-week scheduling period
• Holiday Requirement: Holidays as scheduled; not every holiday

ICU Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure in West Virginia
• At least 1 year of recent ICU or critical care nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
• NIHSS certification required for this neurocritical care assignment
• Demonstrated ability to care for high-acuity patients and manage complex clinical situations
• Experience with titratable infusions, mechanical ventilation, BiPAP, high-flow oxygen, and other critical care therapies
• Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
• COVID-19 vaccination or an approved medical or religious exemption, in accordance with assignment requirements

ICU RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for critically ill medical and neurological patients in an acute-care ICU
• Monitor and manage patients with stroke, head bleeds, ventriculostomies/EVDs, dialysis needs, and other neurocritical conditions
• Assess patient status, recognize changes in condition, and initiate timely interventions
• Titrate and monitor vasoactive, sedative, anticoagulant, insulin, and other critical care infusions according to orders and protocols
• Provide care for mechanically ventilated patients and those requiring BiPAP, high-flow oxygen, or other respiratory support
• Collaborate with intensivists, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, support staff, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in EPIC
• Promote patient safety, evidence-based practice, and high-quality outcomes throughout the assignment
