Respiratory Therapist Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,830–$1,970
• Location: Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital respiratory therapy, general care

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week, approximately 36 hours weekly
• Shift: Night shift, 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.

• Call: Not required

Registered Respiratory Therapist Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent respiratory therapy experience required; 2 years preferred
• Current Pennsylvania professional respiratory therapist license
• Current Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials
• Ability to work overnight shifts, every other weekend, and every other holiday
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient-care skills

Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to hospital patients in a general-care setting
• Assess patients, monitor respiratory status, and implement appropriate respiratory therapy plans
• Deliver respiratory treatments and services in accordance with clinical standards and established protocols
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
• Document patient assessments, respiratory interventions, responses, and ongoing care needs accurately
• Respond to changes in patient condition and communicate significant findings promptly
• Promote safe, compassionate, and patient-centered respiratory care throughout each shift
