Job description
PET Packaging Line Equipment Operator Job Summary We're hiring a PET Packaging Line Equipment Operator in Ogden at $18.65/hour. This is a hands-on production role in a food manufacturing environment where you'll keep packaging equipment running smoothly and product moving safely out the door. If you have machine operator experience and want steady hours on a rotating 12-hour shift, this one's worth a look. What You'll Do
- Monitor and operate packaging line equipment including straw applicators, shrink wrappers, case sealers, palletizers, and bar and date coding machines
- Inspect conveyors and equipment before each production run to confirm everything is functioning properly
- Identify and clear equipment obstructions to keep the line running — and coordinate with mechanics when a bigger fix is needed
- Manually load finished product trays onto pallets and prepare stock for the palletizing process
- Restock production supplies (straws, glue, etc.) to prevent line stoppages
- Complete accurate paperwork including start-up checklists, cleaning checklists, downtime sheets, and quality check sheets
- Keep all equipment and work areas clean and sanitary following GMP and food safety procedures
- Follow all health, safety, food safety, and environmental policies including HACCP standards
- Previous experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to stand for a full 12-hour shift and lift up to 30 lbs
- Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English
- Comfortable learning multiple pieces of equipment and basic troubleshooting
- Experience in food or beverage manufacturing
- Familiarity with HACCP, GMP, or food safety standards (training provided if not)
- Experience completing production documentation or quality check sheets
- A and B Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- C and D Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
