Travel Surgical Technologist Job Details

• Location: Cumming, Georgia
• Healthcare Setting: Operating Room / Surgical Services
• Employment Type: 13-week travel contract
• Start Date: November 2, 2026
• Contract End Date: January 30, 2027
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,790–$1,920
• Schedule: Four 10-hour day shifts per week, approximately 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; schedule may vary
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Holiday Coverage: Must work two of the following three major holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year’s Day, plus one minor holiday: the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year’s Eve

Operating Room Surgical Technologist Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Operating Room Surgical Technologist or OR Tech experience
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Surgical Technologist training or credentialing appropriate for operating room practice
• National certification through NBSTSA or NCCT preferred
• Ability to work on-site and adapt to changing surgical schedules

OR Tech Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms, surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment for procedures
• Maintain sterile technique throughout surgical cases and support safe perioperative care
• Pass instruments and supplies to the surgical team during procedures
• Assist with surgical counts, specimen handling, room turnover, and post-procedure cleanup
• Anticipate the needs of surgeons and other members of the operating room team
• Collaborate with nurses, anesthesia professionals, and surgical providers to support safe, efficient patient care
