Express Employment of Covina is seeking a Forklift Battery Technician / Shop Helper for our client located in Walnut.
Hours: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM Pay Rate: $23.00/hour
Job Summary:
We are looking for someone with experience handling forklift batteries and using lifting equipment. This position involves removing and replacing batteries in sit-down forklifts using an electric chain hoist. The person hired will also help with basic shop duties and keep the work area clean and organized.
Responsibilities:

• Remove and replace batteries in sit-down forklifts.
• Use an electric chain hoist to lift and move heavy batteries.
• Check batteries and equipment for damage.
• Assist with battery maintenance and charging as needed.
• Use hand tools for basic shop tasks.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
• Report damaged equipment or safety concerns.
• Follow all safety procedures when handling batteries and lifting equipment.

Requirements:

• Previous experience handling forklift batteries or changing industrial batteries is required.
• Experience using electric chain hoists or other lifting equipment is required.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and experience using hand tools.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
• Ability to perform physical tasks and use lifting equipment safely.
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
