Job description
Shipping and Receiving Lead Job Summary We're hiring a Shipping and Receiving Lead in West Valley City, UT to run daily shipping operations and lead a hands-on warehouse team — all for $24-$25 per hour on a consistent Monday through Friday schedule. This is a great opportunity for an experienced shipping or warehouse professional ready to step into a leadership role with real responsibility and a stable, day-shift schedule. What You'll Do
- Coordinate daily packaging and shipping activities to keep customer orders moving on time
- Lead start-up meetings and communicate daily priorities to your shipping team
- Monitor shipment schedules and take action when deliveries fall behind plan
- Partner with production, warehouse, and supply chain teams to ensure orders are packaged correctly and released on time
- Verify shipments meet quality and documentation standards before they go out the door
- Coach and develop team members through daily guidance and hands-on training
- Support 5S and continuous improvement initiatives on the floor
- Escalate personnel or operational issues to the Warehouse Manager when needed
- 2+ years of experience in shipping, warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing operations
- Previous experience leading, coordinating, or training team members in a warehouse or production setting
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods
- Experience with ERP systems — Infor is a plus
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles including 5S
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
