Swing - Mold Tooling Technician

Mold Tooling Technician Job Summary We're hiring a Mold Tooling Technician in South Jordan, UT to keep our injection mold operation running at peak performance — earning $33.00/hour on a consistent afternoon shift. If you're a hands-on problem solver who knows injection molds inside and out, this is a role where your technical skills directly impact production success. What You'll Do 

• Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and modifications on injection molds to keep production on schedule.
• Assemble and disassemble molds for changeovers, repairs, and spare component analysis.
• Troubleshoot mold tooling issues and develop a clear plan to resolve them — not just patch them.
• Provide technical support to production and engineering teams when mold-related challenges arise.
• Read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics to diagnose problems accurately.
• Operate mill, lathe, grinder, and welding equipment to fabricate or repair mold components.
• Work with hot runner systems, including heaters, thermocouples, and related components.
• Complete mold tooling documentation and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Follow and promote safe rigging and mold handling practices at all times.

 What You Bring Required 

• Hands-on experience with injection mold maintenance, repair, or tooling.
• Ability to read electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
• Working knowledge of mill, lathe, grinder, and welding equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with a methodical, root-cause approach to problem solving.

 Preferred 

• Experience with hot runner systems (heaters, thermocouples, manifolds).
• Familiarity with mold documentation and preventative maintenance tracking.
• Experience in a high-volume injection molding production environment.
