Med/Surg Registered Nurse Travel Job – Night Shift in Pocatello, Idaho

• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Charting System: Epic EMR
• Weekend Coverage: Required; flexible based on department needs
• Float: As needed based on competencies

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required at time of submission
• At least 1 year of Med/Surg or acute care experience required; 2 years preferred
• Travel nursing experience required
• BLS certification required
• Experience with Epic charting required
• Strong clinical skills caring for adult and geriatric patients
• Ability to manage a busy caseload and adapt to changing patient care needs

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care using the nursing process
• Provide Med-Surg nursing care for patients with diagnoses such as sepsis, COPD, altered mental status, post-operative needs, AKI, trauma, respiratory failure, bowel obstruction, pyelonephritis, cardiac conditions, diabetes, GI conditions, isolation precautions, and substance withdrawal
• Document thoroughly and accurately in the electronic medical record
• Work collaboratively with IV, respiratory, pharmacy, radiology, social services, rapid response, and other support teams
• Maintain professionalism, strong prioritization, and effective communication in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Support patient safety goals and adapt to varied shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
