• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,500 - $1,580
• Charting System: Epic
• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Weekend Coverage: Required, with flexible scheduling needs

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at the time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• BLS certification required
• Experience with Epic or similar electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Ability to care for adult and geriatric patients in a busy acute care setting
• Comfort working nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Strong communication, prioritization, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality Med/Surg nursing care to patients with a wide variety of medical and surgical diagnoses
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process
• Document thoroughly and accurately in the electronic health record
• Monitor patient status and respond to changes with sound clinical judgment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated, patient-centered care
• Manage a patient load of up to 6 patients while maintaining excellent care standards
• Provide care for patients with conditions such as sepsis, COPD, post-operative needs, trauma, renal issues, and cardiac concerns
• Support a positive, professional environment while adapting to the needs of a fast-paced unit
