Job Details / ER Physician Summary

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $6,110 – $7,240
• Location: Local medical centers and affiliated sites (Doctors Regional, Portland 24/7 ER, Northwest 24/7 ER, Rockport 24/7 ER) — Corpus Christi, TX (South Texas / Gulf Coast)
• Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (6a-6p, 6p-6a) — Emergency Department (ED) / FSED coverage
• Hours per Week: 36
• Contract Duration: 12 weeks with potential for extension
• Start / End Dates: Sept 7, 2026 – Nov 30, 2026
• Onboarding: 2-hour orientation plus 2–3 shadow shifts; EMR training (Meditech)

Required Qualifications – Emergency Medicine

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM). ABFM/ABIM with documented Emergency Medicine experience accepted for FSEDs and ambulatory ER sites.
• Minimum 2 years of emergency department (ED) experience required
• Clinical proficiency in emergency procedures: intubation, central line placement, bedside ultrasound, chest tube placement, laceration repair, dislocation reductions, trauma management, and OB delivery
• Ability to provide case logs as part of credentialing and privileging
• Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills in fast-paced ER/urgent care environments

Primary Responsibilities – ER Physician / Emergency Doctor

• Deliver high-quality emergency care to a diverse patient population across multiple Corpus Christi sites
• Manage acute cases including trauma, STEMI, stroke, sepsis, and obstetric emergencies
• Operate as sole physician on shift when required, supported by advanced practice providers (APPs) and nursing staff
• Perform emergency procedures and documentation in the Meditech EMR in accordance with local quality measures
• Coordinate with ED leadership, nursing, and ancillary services to ensure efficient patient flow and optimal outcomes
• Participate in onboarding, orientation, and site-specific training to ensure continuity of care across facilities
